The Language Intelligence area is at the heart of this transformation. We are moving beyond traditional search to create a conversational, agentic interface that understands not just what a user types, but why they are shopping.
We are seeking a passionate and talented Junior Research Engineer to join our Product Intelligence team. In this role, you will utilize AI models and methods to address Allegro's critical business and technical challenges. You will help identify relevant findings from scientific literature to design, implement and optimize custom ML solutions closely aligned with business needs.
You will be a key contributor to building the “Product Knowledge Graph” a category-aware semantic layer that turns raw product specifications into plain-language traits that enable expert shopping advice within our AI Shopping Assistant. You will work on "Factory Robots" backend AI agents that process millions of products to extract decisive attributes, identify substitutes and complements, and understand product usage in real-life contexts. You will leverage a mix of commercial and internal Large Language Models (LLMs) to create a system that doesn't just list products, but acts as a trusted advisor to millions of buyers in Poland and beyond.
Strategic Impact: You will be building the core engine of Allegro's new agentic sales channel. Your work on the Product Intelligence layer will directly power the AI Assistant, influencing how millions of users discover, compare, and buy products.
Innovation: We are not just wrapping API calls. You will work on novel approaches to Agentic Commerce, like constructing semantic knowledge graphs, using ML and Deep Learning methods and alongside frontier LLMs (like Gemini and ChatGPT).
Scale: You will deal with e-commerce data at a massive scale, creating production-grade ML models that must perform in real-time. You will support the engineering team in deploying these complex systems to production.
Collaboration: You will join a team of experienced researchers and engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.
