Your career opportunityMarket Securities & Services (MSS) is the “investment bank” for HSBC. The Global Foreign Exchange (GFX) business is a key component within HSBC’s MSS division. Our businesses generate millions of transactions across a range of financial markets. Our IT teams design and develop modern systems covering all aspects - trading in the markets, sales and customer tools, handling transactions and building financial and regulatory reporting. This role is working within the Market Securities & Services (MSS) division, where technology is central to all aspects of our business – for example electronic trading in the financial markets. River is the first ever HSBC-built Cash FX primary trading system (PTS). We are a 170 strong global team located across New York, Toronto, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, London and Krakow. The team covers a wide area of functions including:Risk delivers client facing applications including risk management.Trade Workflow is responsible for trade booking and lifecycle. Compute focuses on valuations. RODS manages trade storage.

Wymagania:

• Passionate about technology and demonstrate their aptitude for exploring, learning and building technology.
• Ability to work well in a team and be an excellent communicator.
• Be interested in solving problems and flexible and adaptable in doing so.
• Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Experience with Java 17+ (Concurrency, data structures, lock-free, wait free code, low latency, lambdas).
• Familiarity with TDD, continuous integration, jUnit, continuous deployment and testing.
• Experience with REST and messaging technologies.
• Understanding of DevOps practices.
